Nothing to apologize for, dopey, because Howey wasn't refuting the original position that the rape was despicable. He said: "Rape is terrible, no matter who commits it; Yes, that's outrageous..." What original position did you think he ignored?

The other dope's main argument is that I and others are going to defend Muslims/UAE instead of criticizing them. He said: "Now watch and see as Christiefan and other resident Moslem apologists side with UAE instead of the rape victim." Not a single liberal here defended the UAE over their actions.

Then right after Howey brought up US rape statistics, you brought up Saddam's sons. And you have the nerve to whine about strawmen.

I didn't say anyone was guilty or innocent and I didn't mention OJ, which has nothing to do with any of this....

I just pointed out the reasons that were given by the prosecutor for dropping the CRIMINAL case....It was not for lack of witnesses....very few rapes
have witnesses....they felt her story would not have held up in court ...

I see you haven't learned what a 'strawman' is yet.....

Why was Diallo's past history relevant and not Strauss-Kahn's? I'm just guessing it's because she was a lowly foreign hotel maid and he was a rich entitled politician who can buy his way out of anything.

If the man was innocent he would never have lost a civil suit, and he could sue Diallo for slander. Yet I didn't see that happen.

I think Brent intended to call out both the filthy Muslims and the posters who defend them. Hence, this thread has two related topics.

Howey's red herring about total rape stats in a nation many times more populous than the UAE should not be forgotten on account of Bravo's typically lousy posting. It's still a red herring with intent to distract us from how pathetic the Muslims are here.
