Benghazi doesn't scare them even though they know it is a major scandal because they are counting on the low information voter to not really understand what is going on. Additionally, voters in general give the government the benefit of the doubt on national security issues

The AP story? It might resonate with low information voters, but liberals know that no matter what the left wing media will always be there for them. They are like women who keep returning to their dead beat boyfriend.

But, EVERYONE gets the IRS whether they pay taxes or not. This cuts viscerally to the entire underpinning of liberalism and that the government can be competent. This strikes to the heart of what conservatives have been saying for years. It also removes the potent weapon of attack from the left wingers when they call their political opponents "conspiracy theorists" and derisively claim "Oh the right wingers think the IRS is targeting them". Well they are.

This is worth at least 5 points to every republican running in 2014.
 
I find that amusing since both republicans and democrats have used the IRS as a way of punishing their enemies.

But I hope it explodes into a big scandal. It will be excellent ammunition to get the Fair Tax Act passed.
 
Benghazi, the IRS, the DOJ, fast and furious.

Obama.
He is the commander in chief. The buck stops with him.

Poor leadership, criminal negligence, abuse of power, dishonesty and passing the buck.

The AP story only has legs because the sycophantic press now feels like they have covered for this guy with no love being sent back. It is like when Darla blows her boyfriend, he cums in her mouth and then he ditches her on a Saturday night with no more than a $2 bill on the bedside table.

The poor press has jizz running down their chins and Obama is off running away.

The ads will write themselves in 2014. But, I like that you aren't worried. It will make 2014 that much more shocking to you and you can blame "cheating" and whatever else lie you want to tell yourself.

They are at odds right now. Will there be long term repercussions? Anyone's guess. I suspect they will get back in line. Obama will tell them that he won't hit them anymore, that he really loves them, it is just the stress of the job, quitting smoking and those damned republicans. Like battered women with no where else to go, they will forgive him.

But the IRS scandal? That has legs with voters. There is an inherent distrust of te IRS that spans ideological and sociological divides.

To think that this will not have far reaching effects in the upcoming midterms is foolishness.
