With the number of atheists continuing to rise, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday afternoon learned the danger of assuming on live television that his interviewee is a Christian.
“I guess, you gotta thank the Lord, right?” he told the survivor of a deadly tornado that ripped through Oklahoma. “Do you thank the Lord?”
“I — I’m actually an atheist,” the woman politely responded.
“Oh, you are? Alright,” Blitzer replied.

It stands to reason in the heavily conservative, religious state of OK that most (if not all) of those killed were christians. LOL! So much for prayer!

The atheist however stands tall, spared by the vengeful and bloodthirsty god.

Checkmate christians.
 
But as she held her 18-month-old son, Rebecca Vitsmun politely replied, “I’m actually an atheist.” A flummoxed Blitzer quickly lobbed back, “You are. All right. But you made the right call,” and Vitsmun graciously offered him a lifeline. “We are here,” she said, “and I don’t blame anyone for thanking the Lord.” Nicely done, Rebecca Vitsmun.

I don't mind the skepticism, but let's be accurate. God promised He'd never destroy the world by flood (Gen. 9:13-16). He left other options open. ;)
 
Studies have demonstrated that prayer doesn't work. It never worked for me or anyone I know. If there is a god, it obviously does not give a fuck what we have to say. Why would it? It is arrogant to presume that a god ruling over the universe would listen to whiny ass bitches on a speck of dust orbiting a run-of-the-mill star in a run-of-the-mill galaxy.

No worry. The dead Christians are in Heaven and the "enlightened" atheist will never be.

Yeah...it's a little bit arrogant. Especially when.we pray to win the lottery or have our favorite sports team win

I never pray to "win". Winning is up to me; God doesn't care about that. I pray for my safety, and that of my teammates and our opponents. And it works.
