Prayer in school, what do you want?

There have been 2 major lies out there lately on this topic spread from Right Wing Media. ;
1) You can't say the pledge of allegiance
2) You can't carry a bible in school

I subscribe to this garbage and it's exactly that.....garbage.

You CAN carry a bible in any school. That is "Freedom of Religion". You MIGHT have it taken away if you try to force your Religion onto others.
The Pledge is deeper. Right Wing Media says Schools can't use it, yet my kids school does. (proven false without thought like nearly everything Fox News)

The REAL issue is this;

Does the Pledge force people from other religions to worship our god? Or is god a generalized term?

I tend to think "god" is a generalized term which means "in god we trust" can be any god and freedom of religion. I never think "god" means only one particular god....................................................

Start prayer leading teachers and don't stop 'till you pass go and collect 200 dollars.

A student carrying a Bible in a government school will get that student suspended for the day and sent home if he is not involved in a religious gathering of some sort after classes in most school districts. The Bible is forbidden to be displayed in the government classroom where it is visible by the students.

And personally, I think they can do without the pledge of allegiance because this country has never been indivisible and all the pledge is actually missing is a fascist salute which it originally included.

I don't really care about this response because it's not "freedom of religion".

I've never heard of this happening and it sounds very "fox news" heavy and not fact heavy.

I'm gonna write you off as trash. Prove it isn't rash, then I will listen....

You can write me off anyway you want to. Government schools do not allow the display of Christian symbols and they have lawyers that enforce those restrictions with suits against any school district that practices such.

Exactly. So the students can display religious symbols, but the school district itself can't.
