Can Heterosexuality be Reversed?

"Everything that we know"? For the sake of argument, let's assume for a moment that we know everything about how the universe was created. I know everything about how a building is built, and no building is perfect, so does that mean that it doesn't have a designer? Obviously not, so your logic fails.

But it is your bible that says god is perfect while humans are imperfect. It also says that god looked upon his creation and said that it was "very good."

In order for you to conclude that you are more moral than God, you must assume that God is not the source of morality. Again, your logic fails.

Why won't you answer my question? Was it OK for the Jews to beat their slaves?

"...handed down word-for-word from Moses..."

You accept the Talmud as scripture? You might very well be the first christian that I've ever encountered that accepts it. When I was a christian, I certainly rejected it.

Edit: it just occurred to me that you probably mean the Torah, not the Talmud.

Great. Then I assume you are also against efforts to convert gays and lesbians!

The point of this thread was to point out how ridiculous the "can homosexuality be reversed" thread is.

since homosexuality is not genetic, but a learned sexually deviant behavior, it can be reversed, I vote for water-boarding or shock therapy.

"Very Good" is not the same as "perfect".

During the context of the passage, yes it was.

My sister is gay. She has been her entire life. She told me she has never been romantically attracted to boys.

When someone says "God hates fags", she laughs at them. She says, "I know God loves me and He made me this way".

Then she is lying, God does love her, but detests her sin of homosexuality, and certainly did not make her that way.

"...handed down word-for-word from Moses..."

Do you have that on Video, Tape, Eye Witness... ?

Or maybe God whispers "THE TRUTH" amid thunder crashes and lighting bolts into your ear or directly into your mind every night? Such certitude that enables you to tell others what is right and wrong must be very empowering.

And the very idea that someone that "doesn't believe" in something can have no opinion on it? That would tell me you can have no valid opinion on homosexuality. But, maybe you can. Maybe you still in the closet but are hating yourself for it? Using your logic, I guess that would give you the right to an opinion on gays.

Exodus is the story of the Jews escaping Egypt. What does that have to do with Christianity?

The OT is also the story of the Jews...and the foretelling of the Messiah, who was born Jewish. What does the OT have to do with Christianity, other than that?

I don't care if you answer; I'm just stating the obvious, that your opinion is irrelevant. Especially since you're conveying such ignorance of both the Jewish and Christian religions.

The Talmud was compiled by people, but handed down word-for-word from Moses, who received it first-hand from God at Mt. Sinai. The Gospels of the New Testament convey the words of Christ, as remembered by His Apostles and complied by their students.

God doesn't hate homosexuals; He hates their behavior.

By whose account? Paul? Who was rumored to be a repressed homosexual and an obvious misogynist, himself? Nowhere, in the Bible, does Jesus Christ condemn homosexuality. And if he didn't think it was important to, how dare you think that it is. God didn't author the Bible....man did. And men are fallible, hard of hearing, psychotic, among other things. My faith is not in man.

.

Wow you have so drunk the kool-aid (in the vernacular)

But have a wonderful day anyway.

I maintain that MOST people being truely honest with themselves are not 100% hetro or homosexual.

This is evidenced by the pervasive amount of homosexuality that exists when people are forced into an enviroment where there is only one sex. (jail, boarding school, monistaries)

What does it mean to be gay? If you are attracted to the same sex, are you gay if you never act on it? If you mostly like the opposit sex, but are sometimes attracted to the same sex, are you gay? If you once experimented with gay sex, are you gay? If you are mostly attracted to the same sex, but forced yourself to get married to the opposit sex and have sexual relations with that person, are you gay?
