Wow! The conservatives here are now lagging behind your grandpa! They are soooo stupid they honestly think this is like plaid, haircuts and/or bell bottoms and any day now homophobia and general bigotry will be cool again. Look at Illinois!

Polls have consistently shown that older Americans are less likely to morally approve of homosexuality and subsequently support LGBT equality at lower rates. A new Gallup poll, however, shows that for the first time in that poll’s history, a majority of Americans over the age of 55 morally accept “gay or lesbian relations”:

Uh, I have a stupid question. Several actually. What does "gay or lesbian relations" mean? Does it mean gay or lesbian sexual contact? Gay or lesbian relationships more generally? Or does it mean gay or lesbian family members?

Because if it's the last one, and this just means that Asshole Homophobe Old Man now approves of Adult Gay Son, I'm not sure there's much to celebrate here.
 
What does accepting "gay or lesbian relations" mean? My aunt is gay. She's been with her partner for 25 years. Hypothetically I could say I approve of them being together but I don't believe they should be able to legally married. What does that do?

I have to say, I'm shocked. I find this very hard to believe.
 
As the pre 70's coming of age old farts zone out, this next generation of gram paws grew up with Woodstock, and LSD.
They will not care who's hooking up with who!
 
This next generation of elders will look at 20 something party skills and mock them for sure!

The number has doubled in the last ten years. It is more evidence of the sea change on acceptance of homosexuality.
