Mainstreaming the Crazy

The thing that really gets me about Rumsfeld saying stuff like this - and especially Cheney, who does it much more often - is that they speak as though they were the "trusted ones" with terrorism & foreign policy.

The architects of one of the worst foreign policy blunders in modern history, who were as wrong as they could be literally every step of the way when they were in charge - they're the trusted ones, the voices of authority.

You definitely have to be a loon to think that, or to take anything any of these guys say seriously.
