It doesn't matter that she was white or that she was a lesbian. She was out of line, IMO. But then I don't even like it when politicians get heckled ... that's why I like Chris Christie and the way he handles hecklers. I not only approve of Mrs. Obama's handling of the situation, I loved it.

Here, folks, is a problem that I see for the Republicans. I like the Obamas...both of them. I may not agree with some of their politics (some of them key issues for me), but I like them. They seem like genuine people. The Republicans don't have anyone that is likeable right now, much less genuine.

I didn't see this one the other day but I have seen him handle hecklers before. He is definitely much more diplomatic. I much prefer his wife's and Christie's method. I guess that's the authoritarian coming out in me. "Sit down, shut up, I'm talking!" ;)
 
the FLOTUS showed no class. She is supposed to be above those types of things. Of course I expect no less from her. Hope she had fun at her $30,000/person dinner with the 1%ers (noting the lefties aren't commenting on THAT)

Also, the lesbo in question had a legit gripe. Obummer promised to issue an executive order. He has done nothing. Given the unwavering support he got from the homo community, I think she is justified in her complaint. I disagree with her, but she has a right to express herself

Why??? Because it is constantly "white people" who have a problem with the Obamas. And instead of respecting the First Lady's speech, she chose, undoubtedly, because she "thought that she could", disrupt the proceedings and call the First Lady out. Who would do such a thing? Some white person thinking that Michelle Obama, because she is black, is not due the respect and dignity the office prescribes. Would anyone do that to Queen Elizabeth II???? Of course not...because she's a "white Queen". I'm just sick and tired of it. And I will call it out, whenever it presents itself. We're not taking it any longer. We're simply not. So get ready for the backlash.

The difference between the Queen and a President is whilst both are heads of state, the Queen is not a political figure, whereas the President and by extension his consort is political.

Apples/Oranges. Obama has influence over national policy. If a heckler has an issue to discuss...even if it isn't in an acceptable manner....Obama can choose to ignore said heckler, or seize the opportunity to illustrate his position with regard to said policy.

FLOTUS has no influence over national policy. Her opinions/positions re. the issue the heckler brought up is inconsequential. In fact, her personal opinion may very well be opposite that of the POTUS. As such, it's best she doesn't address these idiots.
