I know this sounds like bullshit but I think gay characters being on tv is what got the fat mouthbreather americans to think it's ok.
Modern family, will and grace, ellen degeneres... I think that moved the polls by at least 5-6 pts.
The other factor is obviously the youth. I think the number today is that 75% of those under 30 support gay marriage. How do you like dem apples regressives?

you should re-read his post. He is not saying that there is anything wrong with it. To the contrary, he is saying that it has helped change the attitude of the populace (in his opinion... one I agree with)

A lot of people in the 65-75 category are boomers. My parents are in their late 60's and they have been accepting of homosexuals since I was a kid. Several of my parents very close friends are Queer. The majority of the people they hang out with are Queer friendly. Even my two uncles who are in their late 50's and who have NEVER voted democrat believe that the government should leave homosexual relationships alone. The tide is turning because those getting older are more enlightened, in general. Granted we still have people like DY.

You're wrong on this one Poet. What Grind is saying that by including more gay characters on tv, acceeptance is growing of them. Although the argument could be made that the acceptance came first, I guess.
