This is completely different and unprecedented. A "black" First Lady of the United States of America, who is due the same respect her predecessors, who were white, received. Stop trying to minimize and dismiss the gravity of the situation. People got all up in arms because Michelle Obama touched the Queen, and apparently, the Queen didn't bat an eyelash behind the incident.
Why is it that some white people refuse to give the Obamas the respect they deserve as the world's most powerful couple? Because they harbor racism in their hearts, is why.

Why am I not surprised, seeing that I garnered an infraction for not knowing that not only is the writing out of the n-word, allowed (and undoubtedly "encouraged"), but that insults can be made about family members without any repercussions, and complaining about it is not allowed? Isn't that what you told me? And now, here you are accusing the President of being a liar and a hypocrite...when the poster children for that is the entire Bush Administration. And the drug war was going on, long before President Obama arrived on the scene. So more hypocrisy from you.
And probably President Obama would have never been President for doing the exact same thing that George W. Bush did (smoke weed, and snort cocaine), simply because he is black, and there being two kinds of justice in America...white justice and black justice. You didn't complain when George Bush was tapping and infringing, so don't come with that shit now. A sell-out? That may be true. But to normal folks (folks not like us ... us who have a obsession with politics so as to frequent this site several hours per day and thus know more than the average Joe) likely don't even pay attention to that. They listen to the guy talk, watch the news clips of him interacting with people, etc. and to them he appears "genuine" and likable. That's how favorable ratings stay high no matter what is going on. He has "it" whatever "it" is.
 
Oh, and I will also say, much to the chagrin of those on the left, GW Bush had some of "it" too. To most normal folks he appeared "genuine" also, at least for most of his two terms.

it is NOT encouraged, but it is not against the rules. And you are lying because your reports were NOT about that, but were about people insulting your family. The rules are not hard to read, there is a specific rule section, so yes, you got an infraction for saying something was against the rules (twice) when you could have simply looked with your own two yes.

I had to go back and re-read what I wrote, and you are right. It is a fact that in my opinion (as one who doesn't want to see the advancement of drug use through legalization and could care less that Obama hasn't worked to change things) the Obamas seem "genuine." I disagree with some of his politics but I think the guy genuinely cares about people. I think his wife does too. And I think that John Q. Public sees them that way as well. So I guess I must stand by my original statement and sentiment that follows, that to most people Mr. and Mrs. Obama seem genuine and likable and the republicans don't have anyone like that right now. I'm rooting for Christie though.

And you can't say shit like "he is literally selling out other African-Americans". Who are you to say that? An African-American can address that, whether it's true or not...not you. I swear...white privilege has made you people "drunk" with power and arrogance. I feel so liberated by his presidency. I felt so depressed under Bush/Cheney. Explain that. And so??? He 'evolved", as did most of the nation. As long as we're moving forward, why should I or any LGBT person complain?
