I'm pro-choice.
Me too.

Exactly. People can fairly criticize a lot of what the church did and does, but I don't understand criticizing Francis. So far he seems to be the antithesis of corruption.
His statement is a relevant as the ones coming from towel headed Muslims
I actually know a really sweet woman I grew up next door to who will benefit from his stance on divorce. She won't accept annulment because she had children in her first marriage and refuses to declare them annulled as well. She's been in the Anglican Church as a result. Ironically, that church is the perfect argument against marriage reform, as its founder was an evil man who is burning in the inner circle of hell for living such a failed existence.

There's just so much wrong with the unforgiving stance on divorce. Don't get me wrong, there's way too much of it in society but to punish people for something that might have been out of their control? It's crazy.
What year was the great schism and Martin Luther's 99 Thesis? Looks like the Catholics might finally be addressing some of Martin Luther's complaints. Sure took a long time... .maybe the schism can be healed? Is unified Christianity a possability?
The Church was already a millennium old when the great schism occurred in 1054, and nearly 1500 years old when Luther posted the theses. Also, the Church basically addressed his arguments during the course of that century.

ML complained about corruption in the Catholic Church. Which led to a spiritual revolution. But the reformation has become just as corrupted as the RC was........
Not all of them, you still have to pay an indulgence to get divorced, for example.
