MI veto-proof ‘rape insurance’ close to becoming law w/ 4.2% voter approval

killing an unborn child should not be covered under insurance. Any medical emergencies that might develop as a result of an abortion are already covered under insurance. People shouldn't be asked to pool resources so someone doesn't have to pay the full cost to correct their mistake.

I do think exceptions for rape and incest are needed. But those are a small percentage of abortions. the vast majority are not rapes or incest.

1% said they were "a victim of rape"
0.5% "became pregnant as a result of incest"

Are you saying this law is okay because the actual numbers are so small? I think victims would disagree with you.

is there a right to have a pool of insurance purchasers pay for your abortion even if they find it objectionable?.......isn't that sort of a "tyranny of the minority"?........I suppose you might argue a parallel if you found a pool of insurance purchasers who found it objectionable to patch up someone who had been beaten.....is that your argument?......

and also force people who don't believe in blood transfusions to pay for them for other huh?

you arguement is idiotic.

hense I began the silliness about cockcozies

they just cant be bothered to care about that container.

its all about the zygote and the container means nothing to them

1) it was passed by a procedure established in our constitution
2) it was passed by a majority of our democratically elected congressmen in both houses.....it is only prevented that the veto of one man cannot keep it from becoming law....
3) it was the 24th state to pass the same law

just exactly how are you defining "tyranny of the minority"

I'm defining it as a special-interest group that makes up 4% of your state's voters.

You guys have been whining about Obamacare for years and your claims are that the majority (51% or more) of Americans are against it, not that I agree with that comment. Yet you're defending this very small minority measure because you're against abortion.

i realize that 'i told you so' and other remarks are tough to take when you've had your own shit used against you, but for decades we've had to endure the idiocy of the left and the right talk about how all rights are regulated, so bitching about another 'right' being regulated is hypocritical. now eviscerate that shit, k?

Okay. I'm not talking about rights in general, I'm talking about a specific measure enacted because a fraction of the voting population signed a petition. So why aren't YOU coming out against this?

what is it they MUST contain you fucking idiot?

healthcare

not exclusions hidden in the policy to treatment

Okay. I'm not talking about rights in general, I'm talking about a specific measure enacted because a fraction of the voting population signed a petition. So why aren't Y O U coming out against this?

for the same reason they rationalize the cheating in elections.

Its not about fair its about power

Is there a right to have a pool of purchasers pay for your lung cancer treatment if they're against smoking? Is there a right to have a pool, etc. pay for your drug rehab if they don't use drugs? Is there a right for the pool, etc. to pay for a quadriplegic's rehab if he crashed his Harley driving drunk without wearing a helmet and they're only pedestrians?

you're failure to observe my history of demanding absolute respect of ALL rights notwithstanding, It's more important to point out YOUR hypocrisy in demanding regulation of rights you don't like while respecting others more important to you. something that most of you here refuse to understand is that I respect ALL rights, despite your idiotic insistence that I don't.
