Christie lead investigator is Democrat Paul Fishman, appointed by Obama

What is it with you and Harrisburg?

It's like you seem to think it is some "inside joke" between the two of us, but I am not aware of it at all.

Would you care to explain it to me?

So you want the GOP to have a good candidate? Surprising.
actually, I certainly want the GOP to field the weakest candidate they possibly can... The coattails for Hillary will be that much longer. Paul Ryan, maybe. Jon Stewart said, the other day, that this bridge scandal has given Ryan a boner you can see from space. Funny guy, that Stewart.

Someone said recently that making midterm election predictions 11 months out would be silly, didn't they?

2016 speculations, of course, wouldn't be silly at all, would they, Commander?

Predictions? There is no prediction there. I believe that most democrats are fairly certain that Hillary will be our candidate. I certainly am and have already donated to her PAC...

It goes without saying that every democrat wants the GOP to pick their weakest candidate in terms of the middle of the bell curve... It isn't rocket science to suggest that the weaker a party's candidate is, the longer the coattails will be for the other candidate. That's kinda how presidential elections work, little guy.

Isn't Harrisburg between Maine and Mexico, geographically speaking, Commander?

How's your navigation?
a little bit further west than my track took me... But again... I know no one in that town and have no reason to go there... You seem to think that we have some private understanding about some significance to that town, but we really don't.

Predictions?

I used predictions in the context of a certain persons' remark about the midterms, and speculation in reference to the 2016 race.

Guess you missed that, Commander.

Here it is again:

And again... My comments were not speculating on who the republicans might chose.... They were simply my written expression of my dream scenario. Actually, my dream scenario would have Hillary running against Charles Manson as the GOP candidate, but I know that is too much to wish for.

Not much to choose between them from a public service standpoint, is there, Commander?

So you keep saying.

So you keep saying.
I do... And until you can shed some light on this Harrisburg thing, that's pretty much all I can and will be able to do.

Again.. A private joke that only the joke teller understands is really not very funny to the rest of the universe.

I actually can't imagine you're in a position to even decide what you're having for dinner tonight, so, no... It was tongue in cheek. But, I have been known to bet on lots of things over the years.

Is that so, Commander?

Yes... It is. For example, at a joint command I once served in, there was a West Point grad, and he and I STILL have a standing bet every year for the Army-Navy game. That standing wager has been quite lucrative for me.

And I must tell you that, for someone who did not serve to continually address me by my rank so deferentially seems ... well... Sort of obsequious... But then, I guess I should not discount the very real possibility that that is exactly how you view yourself.
