Racist X comment after posting: "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson has landed a coveted invite to the President's Capitol Hill speech on Tuesday, from newly elected Rep. Vance McAllister (R-La.). "That should piss off some of the liberal idiots....."

My response: Why would it piss off liberals? If duck guy publicly criticized Obama for anything I'd call him a hypocrite for attending, otherwise no big deal.IOW why does Racist X think liberals care one way or the other if duck guy goes to the SOTU address?Obviously he's trying to gin up a controversy where none exists.

I don't think I could have gone to a g.w. bush speech given my extreme animosity toward him and his policies but to each his own.

No apology necessary and I personally don't care either. I never watched the show and don't know anything about these people except what's been in the news lately.

I watch the show. It was great out of the gate. But like all shows like this, I think it is running out of steam. I think they are awesome people albeit I judging by their books and what I read, however they seem pretty real to me. I admit they are getting a bit overexposed. I don't think there is an item they won't put their faces on.

On one hand it is getting a bit much. On the other I say they might as well strike and profit before their 15 minutes of fame runs out.

I don't think the show will last past next year and I don't think the Robertsons much care
 
I'd never seen it until I visited New Orleans. I found out it's like a cult religion there, and there are a bunch of other Louisiana redneck reality shows, about gators and swamps, too. The inhabitants are wild about that stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if Toppy gets a reality show of his own.
