That part I thought was one of those bs myths that take hold like about boomers being selfish, etc. I don't agree with that part. We don't complain any more or less than anyone else. As for being reluctant to make decisions, bullshit. And as for stepping up to leadership roles, we were ready later than generations that came before us, but that's what the entire article is about.

Cultural power is already switching from the boomers to the millennials. Millenials are already becoming the number one demographic target of companies.

Also, that may cause a rift with egomaniacal Gen X'ers like Superfreak. For myself, not at all. I am very forward thinking and thrilled about a lot of the cultural views of your generation, generally speaking.

Great response! Now admittedly part of the fun of this is instead of the usual right/left divisions we have on this board this changes it to age divisions which is more non-partisan. But as a proud member of Gen X I say F you Boomers!

I don't think it will cause much of a rift... but the echo boomers will most certainly take over (already are) for the baby (no more appropriate generational name) boomers on a political and cultural level. As they enter their prime earning years (assuming they can ever get jobs... thanks Obama!) they will take over economically as well.

I think the majority of Gen X are going to simply continue to do as they have done. Put up with the geriatric baby boomers, while creating new technologies (along with the millenials) and advancing the US to the point that we can succeed despite the gluttony of the baby boomers.
