This was rather predictable. Republicans have chosen a strategy of obstructionism and by and large it has been succesful for them as not much of signicance has been accomplished by congress and they have largely derailed the Obama administrations policy objectives for the most part.
Unfortunately for the GOP is that the downside is that there has been no significant policy development by the GOP as to how they would move this nation forward. There has no forward looking ideas coming out the GOP camp as to what direction they would move this nation, other than a handful on the far right who want to go back to the 19th century.
The problem now is that if a forward looking Republican can enunciate a clear message that resonates with the people they are probably going to be facing a circular firing squad. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. If Chris Christie continues to submarine it will probably boil down to a default candidate. My guess is that would be Jeb Bush. I can think of nothing worse in the 2016 election than Jeb Bush vs Hilliary Clinton.

Personally I'd like to see Dave Chappelle run on the GOP ticket.Nor can I.

I can think of three reasons why Dave Chappelle should be nominated by the GOP for POTUS.
