You know, you raise a great point. There has been a decoupling of the direction of the stock market and the overall economy. The fundamentals of the economy are not strong. No sentient, objective person believes they are

The fundamentals aren't strong, but there have been quite a few positive signs, and many of the indicators are up - which is why the market broke a record yesterday. Investors don't live in a vacuum.

This thread failed. You can't cherrypick when it comes to the economy.
