Huh. Well, I live with a man who is very substantively different than superfreak. I kid around with SF a lot, and I do like him when all is said and done, and maybe I have flirted with him once in a while, but I would not date him. Too many built-in deal breakers. I don't date Republicans and haven't in years. I have a magnet on my refrigerator "Sorry darling, I just can't love a republican". I'd hang out with him and I'm sure have some laughs but that's it.

I just noticed, when I was in my 20's that many smart women, who were liberally minded often were attracted to guys like SuperDervish who would throw insults and be cocky about their clearly wrong ideas. Some married these types and are sorry for it now. It was something I never understood.

Yeah I have seen that too, but I never really dated Republicans or right wing men, or anti-choice men, even when I was in my 20's. I think I was less strict about it, but I can't think of anyone I dated for any period of time who was any of those things. I did have a LTR with someone who was basically non-political. At this point in my life I prefer someone who is political so we have that in common, and also like-minded.

I wonder what Superfreak will have to say about all of this? I can pretty much guarantee it will involve a lot of "Like I would ever date her!". Years ago LadyT started this whole meme where Superfreak was in love with me or something , and I never said a word, but I got a PM from him anyway yelling "You're crazy if you think I would even consider it!!!!" I think there was some random capitalization too if I recall correctly.
I sent it to T and we laughed our asses off. I got rejected and i hadn't even offered! He made sure he got his "no" in first though! LOL It was awesome. He probably won't mind my saying this because I have mentioned it before and he has laughed.
