Retirement: A third have less than $1,000 put away

Now tell us why the mortgage market fucked us?

Assholes who were greedy and didn't care about what happened to this country or the people

Of course you can't understand; you're a liberal. Let me get my crayons out and attempt to enlighten you.

What he is saying is that arbitrarily raising the minimum wage will not change the bad habits and poor choices that are the cause of poverty and therefore, not have any effect on people's poverty or status.

Poverty is not a result of outside forces; but rather personal choices and bad behavior which have consequences.

Yoda specifically referenced the minimum wage being too low for people to live on and save. I'm simply saying that if the minimum wage is raised that really isn't going to change. In general if one earns more money yes it gives them a chance to save (more) assuming of course they don't increase their consumption by the amount of their increased income.

And in today's interest rate environment putting money into a savings account isn't really all that desirable.

My explanation was better. ;)

The cold hard fact is poor people are way nicer.

Its why I live where I live when I could live elsewhere

Fair enough

There are other ways to save.

How do you generalize like that?

I've met some nice poor people, and some nice rich people. I've also met some real jerks at both ends of the spectrum.

Poor people are better people IF any people are better than others

It is what life has taught me.

Not really knowing poor people means you have no idea what reality is like

The more money the people around me have had the less likely they were to help others.

I mean directly in a human manner.

Its a fucking fact.

I have lived in more places than most of you and met WAY more poor people than you.

I didn't know people with money were less helpful UNTIL I actually experienced it by getting more money

I am talking to reality.

You people are way too heartless and get all puffed up with your self worth when your bank account gets bigger

It's actually not a fact - you're confused about what a "fact" is, as usual.

It's your opinion, based on direct observation, which is in turn based on your limited experience.
