rummy....

Hey... remember Rummy lied his ass off and said that not only was it an absolute certainty that Saddam had WMD stockpiles.... HE EVEN KNEW RIGHT WHERE THEY WERE.

He should be stood up against a wall and shot along with Dubya and Cheney.

He sure did lie and his lies are on the record.

MR. STEPHANOPOULOS: Finally, weapons of mass destruction. Key goal of the military campaign is finding those weapons of mass destruction. None have been found yet. There was a raid on the Answar Al-Islam Camp up in the north last night. A lot of people expected to find ricin there. None was found. How big of a problem is that? And is it curious to you that given how much control U.S. and coalition forces now have in the country, they haven't found any weapons of mass destruction?

SEC. RUMSFELD: Not at all. If you think -- let me take that, both pieces -- the area in the south and the west and the north that coalition forces control is substantial. It happens not to be the area where weapons of mass destruction were dispersed. We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat."

i rather think that we respect the office for what it stands for....the person holding the office is naturally granted a certain respect upon entry and keeps that respect by earning it... how does the president earn/keep respect....maybe by he or she themselves respecting the office, the oath of office and performing their duties in accordance with the constitution....has this president done that by any stretch of the imagination.....has there ever been an individual/administration so brazenly corrupt, pathologically given to lying and clownishly incompetent as this cabal....serious question....

I think that respect for the office means that we keep our criticism confined to substance and helpful analysis rather than name calling.

Had Rummy simply said that President Obama's foreign policy has been completely and utterly ineffective, that would have been respectful criticism, had rummy included some reasoning and facts that would have even been better.

rummy did not disrespect the office, that has been thoroughly done by the current occupant....furthermore, given the behaviors and performance of this president, if rummy were to compare him to a trained ape it is the ape that would be and should be insulted.......

This is a perfect example of racism.
Rummy was a war hawk and a war criminal, responsible for the wasting of huge amounts of treasure and lives.

so i guess rummy stated that a trained ape could manage our foreign policy better than the current administration....is that a racist cut or an insult to trained apes....
Both. Also, when one considers that Rummy will probably go down in history as one of the absolute worst Defense Secretary's in our nations history....who gives a fuck about his opinion?

For what it's worth, I don't think it was racist. The "trained ape" thing is just saying Rummy likes to use. He's still a dick, though.

sadly no one has even attempted to defend or support the performance of the pretender and chief, just attack rummy for drawing attention to it....suppose he called obama out for being a tool, no wait a tool actually has some demonstrated useful purpose......yes i am just an evil racist who hates the first affirmative action president for his color, not trillions added in debt, not a cynically fractured society of black vs white, rich vs poor, gay vs straight etc..., yes again it's all racism and has nothing to do with the stench of lies and death swirling about benghazi, fast and furious, drone strikes based upon cell phone possession, the nsa up your arse, the epa stealing our lands/liberty, the irs targeting political dissent, the start to finish fraud that is obama care and i could go on but it does not matter does it because me and now some 60%+ of this nation are all racists.....

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Both. Also, when one considers that Rummy will probably go down in history as one of the absolute worst Defense Secretary's in our nations history....who gives a fuck about his opinion?

Don't let history influence your political bias.....Robert McNamara. Secretary of Defense under Kennedy and Johnson, the architect of the disaster known as the Vietnam War. He masterminded such terrible ideas as taking South Vietnamese peasants off their land, using Agent Orange and other defoliants, and the massive aerial bombing of both North and South Vietnam. The Vietnam War was a far more damaging and awful conflict than Iraq. More Vietnamese died and more Americans died.
And we lost.

Eight retired generals and admirals called for Rumsfeld to resign in early 2006 in what was called the "Generals Revolt", accusing him of "abysmal" military planning and lack of strategic competence.[88][89][90] Commentator Pat Buchanan reported at the time that "Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, who travels often to Iraq and supports the war, says the generals mirror the views of 75 percent of the officers in the field, and probably more."

Rummy was drummed out of office by his own Generals. This is unheard of in American History.

Good point Bravo. Rummy was really saying that Bush had done no better than a trained ape.

Rummy is a war criminal under indictment in Germany who can never leave this country again for the rest of his life. Who gives a fuck what he says?

Wait, the Germans have a problem with war criminals now?

That's just your biased opinion. Rummy was instrumental in getting a democratically elected government in Afghanistan, and one that was friendly to US interests. Now The Obama has destroyed that, so you attack Rummy to defend The Obama.
LOL You're talking about the same Rummy that committed us to the immoral war in Iraq and utterly dropped the ball in Afghanistan and let Bin Ladin get away? Not that Obama was nearly as hard on bin Ladin as Rummy was.....Oh wait...that's right. Obama had bin Ladin killed. Silly of me to forget that. :p

rummy did not disrespect the office, that has been thoroughly done by the current occupant....furthermore, given the behaviors and performance of this president, if rummy were to compare him to a trained ape it is the ape that would be and should be insulted.......
Yes. How dare he get elected while being black. What complete disregard for the office!

This is right on the money.

You mean Obama? The guy who actually had bin Ladin killed? Yes how dare he kill our nations enemies. What a weak spineless bastard he is. Why he should have done what Bush did. Left him alive and kill people who had absolutely nothing to do with attacking our nation!

Rummy is a bitter man whose failures as a leader extend all the way back to Vietnam. He wont honestly evaluate himself so his ego leads him to make these statements to prop up the false idea in his mind that he was an effective leader. He cant accept that he ever made a mistake and was ever anything but flawless. The man blames all of his failures on others.

And you try to blame your failures on God, by saying it was meant to be that way.

Agreed. Rummy is in the same caliber of "really sucked" as McNamara. No political bias there.
