I want to debate you on the notion of private property rights.

You claim that compassion leads you to compel the government to abscond the private property of another individual to mollify your own conscience. I contend that it is morally wrong to do that.

For the purposes of this debate, let's agree that people should help their neighbors in times of need and want. What I want to debate with you is the moral standing of ways and means; government vs private charity.
