:rolleyes: Most people wear their clothes into the toilet and partly undress to use it. Whichever transgender you are, you're still going to go inside a stall. What next, stall police? Hidden cameras?

Hmmm, do teachers have less rights than students in Obama's World. So can Jack, dress up as a woman, and wear his mini skirt into the bathroom with little 7 year olds Billy and John. Obama says this is normal and an important thing to allow Billy and John to be exposed too.

I read the article trying to find out the specific complaint of teachers. Imagine my surprize when I discovered no mention of the teacher/student angle.

The issue being covered pertains to BO using title IX to make some accommodation for so called transgender children. States feel BO has no business in local matters.

Unfortunately they took fed money and as we all know those bucks come with strings attached.

Moral of the story: just say no to fed money.

But CG they need that money !

Do they ?

Would you be surprised to know that far and away the biggest increase in school budgets over the last generation was for special ed ?

And in special ed the most costly isn't for the kids who are a little slow. Not for the kids with cognitive issues like Downs. It's kid's who will never be in any way mainstreamed.

Is this school ? Is this education ?

What it is in reality, shifting the cost of institutional health and dumping it on the schools.

Why ? Govt loves things that are "for the children" because it's the easiest sell for more taxes.

I'm actually a proponent of special needs as my step mother was a special ed teacher and she did wonders getting kids a start to a productive self sufficient life. But we can't pretend unresponsive kids (and I use that term loosely as those kids can be into their 20's) is an education matter.

Gotta start taking a closer look at the bills of goods we keep seeing.

That seems possible only if a predator is trying to get into the bathroom of the opposite gender.
 
Let's settle a couple things here.

Teachers don't want to share bathrooms with kids for safety reasons in middle and high school and elementary have facilities appropriate to little kids.

Unless your coaches/pe teachers are transgender there won't be any in locker rooms.

Visitors won't be in kid bathrooms or any other outside an unusual circumstance.

way to enforce the binary gender roles christie. So are you saying the only valid transgender women are the ones wearing make up and acting feminine? Aren't these the rigid gender roles feminists have been fighting against for the last 50 years? Why can't women wear combat boots? Why can't they have beards? Some women have facial hair. There is no requirement to go thru hormone treatments and surgery to be considered transgender. Are you seriously saying that small children who are transgender must get hormone treatments and surgery in order to be transgender? If so you have no understanding of the situation.
