you'd be wise to quit while you aren't completely turned out for excessive idiocy.
Listen slow cousin, you said they need parlimentary rules
I have proven they already have them.
You are the only idiotin this conversation.

Good on you for figuring it out. Finally.
like i said, they look like hypocrites.
and what do you plan to do when we say no?
Actually definitions change over time.
As we both well know, regulated meant supllied in 1790.
After they ask nicely they will send in their storm troupers,
at least those willing to violate the constitution.
Funny how Ryan and his band are playing the new hit single "due process baby and I don't mean maybe" over and over, yet they have all strongly supported the watch lists forever. It's great to have watch lists, and keep people on it from flying, or under surveillance, but keep them from buying guns? Start banging the drums Bobby and I'll get my guitar! What a bunch of BS all around. If there are problems with the watch lists, fix it. Where were the demands to do so before now?
Do away with them? NO thank you, I will leave that circle jerk to the Libertarians and their bros on the pitchfork left.
Politically speaking, this bill won't pass. So this all misses the mark. It's a strong attempt to break the NRA stranglehold, get Republicans on record with their votes, flip the Senate, flip the Supreme Court with the next pick, and through them, fix the blood-soaked mess Heller gave us. Eventually to flip the house and pass a real, strong, assault weapons ban.
It's a long term strategy.

the House is a body that needs parliamentarian rules to function.
Stunts like this can only lead to more stunts, and then you have a body that cannot function
jesus Christ...you can't force a vote by a sit in..
looking at it more carefully though it looks like the sit in is over a break
and the Speaker pro tem had gaveled the session closed (on break)-so if that's all it is ,it's not as bad as I first thought
I saw Fauxkahontas Warren participating in the sit in. I wonder if she was sitting Indian style.
it's really not interrupting any House business -at first I thought it was ( all this happened overnight) so I can't get upset about it.I saw Fauxkahontas Warren participating in the sit in. I wonder if she was sitting Indian style.
this is why at least on this one issue conservatives are wise to liberal tactics. We know they aren't being honest when they say they just want "background checks." You give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Got a speeding ticket? No gun. Restraining order ever filed against you even though anyone can do that for anyone reason? No gun. etc

It's a political stunt, or an act of conscience depending on your p.o.v.
If the Dems wanna sleep in and eat cheeseburgers and Chinese food while the House is adjourned....

They behave like they want to completely abolish due process, when it comes to gun ownership.
so these democrat/domestic terrorists had their snacks delivered? must be nice to have approval for terrorism.
Really?
Another post totally devoid of fact or knowledge.
The house these days is like a library compared to previous centuries and yes, there are indeed parlimentary rules.
The Dems were utilizing them.
To be clear I do not support the Dems.
They should go along with the Pubes and provide due process to those on secret lists.
It is their innate love of power (totalitarianism) which prevents them from acting reasonable, therefore they will be equally at fault after the next shooting commited by a watch list member.
Nothing new about it.
Sen. Ted Kennedy was forbidden to fly.
A list with no due process is a very onerours thing.
This was simply an opportunity to rectify an injustice and the Dems failed in spectacular fashion.
I am pro-gun rights but I would gladly go along with a no purchase list, provided there was a mechanism to appeal to a judge had one wrongly been placed on such list.
the mere fact that we have americans on secret lists is all the proof we need to show we're fucked as a free nation.
More racism from the forum's wanking authority.
