George Will leaving Republican Party

eh any republican will be called racist. Its in the playbook. Everyone from trump to bush to reagan has been called it. Its something repubs have to fight past. If we can sell the economic benefits to blacks and how they have been screwed ovr by illegal immigration everything should be good :)

You are correct that Republicans are going to be called racist pretty much regardless. But Trump is the caricature that liberals claim all Republicans to be. I read the reactions after his "my African-American" comment. Trump isn't getting that support.

It would take someone like Trump to go on attack mode and play offense on it. Blacks for example, have fared poorly under Obama. Force Hillary to defend the Obama economy and ask blacks 'what have they done for you?'

Frame the argument around immigration and ask 'how has liberal immigration policy benefited the black community?'

Democrats are vulnerable on this, but Trump needs to stay out of his own way, which is his biggest problem.

Certainly much more than the gop, so YEA!!!!

You don't need to dig to far back, say start w/ Goldwater & work your way forward... Let me know what you think...

I am not, nor have I ever been a dem so obviously I am not very fond of them either, they got their issues as well, but it aint hard to top the GOP since they have done nothing positive, or real close to it, & have done a lot of negative........ History is simply not on their side..

Blaming Mexicans, immigrants & Muslims just aint gonna work........

Just for giggles, define 'help'. Affirmative action? Pouring federal money into inner cities with no apparent return on the investment?

How much more democrat 'help' can the black community stand?

Thing is Darth, as I have trying to explain~ dems don't need to defend what they have or have not done PERIOD, it is more than nothing.....

You got a mountain to climb & you're not going to get to the top trying to push someone else down.. But hey, you can try all you like, as I said, it hasn't worked thus far, good luck:thup:

IIRC, private sector unions are single digits percentage wise of workers in the economy (and the AFL-CIO is a subset of that) so they are a much smaller number than evangelicals are too Republicans (or minority voters are to Democrats).

lol.....so your argument is that unions haven't been a significant factor in Democrat politics?.......what happened to you?.......you didn't used to be an idiot......

Jarod said Republicans should drop evangelical voters. Evangelicals make up a pretty good portion of the Republican base, something like 40%. I said that would be equivalent to Democrats dropping all minority voters which would which are over 30% of their base.

You then join the conservation and post an article about Trump and AFL-CIO voters and I'm the idiot?

Good luck, cawacko, debating this one is an exercise in futility.

maybe the logic is where else are they going to go? The democrats have been screwing over blacks for years and they still vote democrat.

yes you are......are you thinking that union vote hasn't been equal to or greater value than the black vote to the Democrats?.....

You'll notice I said minorities. Minorities include blacks, Hispanics and Asians. I didn't say black voters only. So either you are purposefully misrepresenting what I said or your reading comprehension is off.

Democrats don't win the union vote at near the same rate they do the minority vote. So of course Union votes have always been important to Democrats but in the context of Jarod's point minorities are the better analogy here so spare me this idiot sh*t.
