The way I understand it, is that Muslims do not believe his Jewish, Christian or Islam, rather, he is a great person who is the father of the Arab people and the Jewish people. Though the Quran does say to follow the religion of Abraham, I didn't realize they considered him the father of Islam, I didn't know that (father with regards to religious connotations) was a concept in Islam. Whereas Christians call God the Father. And Abraham the father of the faithful.
