When these companies went bankrupt we didn't yawn and say it's part of doing business. They ruined a lot of people.

Part of doing business is ruining people's lives? Every time someone files bankruptcy it leads to a chain of events, people don't get paid or get paid less which often leads to their businesses failing. It is such callus indifference to me.

Not every bankruptcy is the same. Should we say punish Amazon for making Barnes & Noble close so many stores? Should we punish Netflix for putting Blockbuster into bankruptcy? The whole idea of "disruption" is to change the way business has always been done. When that happens business that can't compete in the new paradigm file BK or cease to exist.
