Hillary's slide in the polls continues

True. Everyone might hate Hillary, but once the debates are over, Trump will be a smoldering pile of burnt orange hair.

He'll be exposed as the 'typical' tycoon who has a long history of defaulting on his personal debt, and screwing middle class contractors.

This won't even be close.

For the life of me I don't get the cockiness---from either side.

Are you guys actually suggesting that racism & xenophobia are not significant aspects of both Brexit & Trump's ascendancy?
I'm sure there is some of that. The objection is painting with a wide brush that Trump's support is all racially/xenophobic based.

Watch some of the Democratic talking heads..watch Clinton herself..sooner or later they come back to that with smug righteousness.

I take the fact some support Clinton in good faith-why not give the same respect to Trump voters?

The problem is what you call 'xenophobic' is merely advocating for secure borders. And putting your own country ahead of global interests is Hitler-esque 'nationalism'.

And people are seeing through that little charade.

I can't speak to that, though I haven't seen too many paint ALL of Trump's supporters that way.

It's a more significant group than I'd be comfortable with. But I know there are people voting Trump for all kinds of reasons - because they're loyal to party, or because he's likely to be more conservative (though that is debatable), & because they just can't stand Hillary, which I think is perfectly legit.

A lot of people are just advocating for secure borders.

Are you really suggesting that everyone on Trump's side feels that way, and that there is no xenophobia at play here?

That's asking me to make an absolute claim. It's way over played by the media, but of course there's racists and xenophobes on Trumps side. But there's a reason David Duke hasn't been elected dog catcher since the early 90's.

Just like there's communists, black nationalists, environmental wackos and etc on Hillary's side.

There's loons on both sides of the fence. It's a wash, they cancel each other out.

it's build in coverage.
To be honest Trump doesn't help himself with "Mexican rapists" -but that wasn't what he was saying either.
He was saying Mexico dumps it's problems over the border.

Trump is not more conservative -do you see CAWACKO calling him a "Democrat" all the time here?

Democratic strategy is to list whacko's like KKK types and then say that is typical/base Trump support.

The media over the weekend -what I saw at least-was denigrating Trump's visit to Detroit as all conniving , politically motivated.
Absolutely no credit as real outreach..myself I think it's both electoral, and trying to help inner cities.
But that's impossible according to the Talking Heads

It really says a lot about the underbelly of American racism and tolerance for it. Many would claim we have come a long way, and I guess the basic majority has, but we still have a huge lunatic fringe when it comes to racism and xenophobia.

good lord.......your posts show how ready the left is to lie in order to win elections......you do realize people don't actually believe you, right?......

It wasn't inaccurate, or one sided. They also covered his successes, and had interviews with family members & colleagues that were full of praise.

But the negative stuff is well-documented. Over 3,500 lawsuits from small businesses over 3 decades. And no, that isn't normal if you're a big fancy businessman.

3500 lawsuits isn't normal out of billions of dollars in transactions?........obviously you've never been in business......

When do the polls start being valid and no longer skewed?
Ask Karl Rove:

PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are within one percentage point of each other in Gallup's final pre-election survey of likely voters, with Romney holding 49% of the vote, and Obama 48%. After removing the 3% of undecided voters from the results and allocating their support proportionally to the two major candidates, Gallup's final allocated estimate of the race is 50% for Romney and 49% for Obama.

That's a bad assumption on your part. Back when everyone had a land line and answered their phones, polls had a lot more validity. A lot has changed, even in the last four years.
I've never put a lot of credence in polls, for obvious reasons. But...polls tended to move farther into fantasy because they only called land lines. Now that they call cellphones too, they ought to be more accurate.

Save for the fact that in this election, hispanic/black/women's votes will decide the election, and many polls are not taking that into consideration.

And the new 'online' polling is the least accurate of all.

If you must look at a poll, at least study their data on sampling and size.

For many, it's cockiness for sure. For those like myself who won't vote for POTUS this year, I sit and evaluate both sides.

Trump, thus far, has not been challenged in any debate with respect to his long history of being a failure in business. He won't be able to hide behind his lies about being a 'yuge' success in business, as Hillary will certainly have all the ammunition she needs to make his head explode.

Trump is simply not able to keep his cool, and stick to policy or fact based discussion.

Once another woman bests him on a national stage, he will suffer a complete meltdown.

Far and away, once you subtract the overt racists from his group of supporters, the lion's share feel 'he gets things done'.

The problem is that they've never researched his business history.

I suspect most are like me- if the call is from an area code that they don't recognize- let VM handle it. So the pollsters get a skewed population right there- folks who like to talk with telemarketers.

You may not be voting for POTUS but you're hardly an objective observer.

You talk as though Hillary has no weaknesses Trump can attack.
