Because its government that works. What is wrong with that? Both programs have worked very well and have largely done what they were intended to do.

Which has pretty much a losing issue for the GOP. Federal Government spending in the last 75 years, years in which the U.S.A has seen more economic productivity than any nation in history, has remained at a consistent 18 to 20% of GDP. That has remained true through both Republican and Democratic Party rule.

I'm sorry Cawacko but Federal Government spending is not really a problem and hasn't been since the end of WWII. This is why no post war Republican President or Republican controlled congress has ever made any really serious attempts to actually cut spending. The two parties just really have different spending priorities but Federal spending is not nor has been a real problem.

The call for slashing government spending is really a call from those who wish to reduce governments scope from what it has traditionally been over the last 75 years. Which obviously is a hard sell given the tremendous growth in productivity and prosperity that has occurred over that time.

lol.....sure, politicians on the campaign trail are invited lots of places to not give political speeches......happens to Hillary every day......of course she only goes for $250k or more......there was obviously a misunderstanding......the preacher thought he was there to give a sermon.....once he realized a mistake had been made he left to avoid her any further embarrassment.....

I have been on record here for years saying that SS needs to be changed from an entitlement to an insurance policy.......everyone pays in but only the poorest get money out.....neither Hillary or Trump should be receiving their $2k a month entitlement because they don't need it...neither do half the people receiving it.......instead give the poorest elderly widow enough to live in comfort to the end of her days.....

but that is one issue.......there are dozens and dozens involved in a presidential campaign........Trump may be wrong about SS, but Hillary is wrong about dozens and dozens......so what triggers me is a conservative turning his ass to the Republican nominee and supporting someone who hates everything conservatives believe is important......

What a nonsense statement. SS is a supplemental insurance program and it always has been.

Given the bad behavior of Wall Street the American people would have to staggeringly stupid to entrust their SS supplemental retirement insurance who have proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted.

Privatizing SS would ultimately enrich a handful of Wall Street investors while impoverishing vast number of seniors when they gamble away their supplemental retirement income. We also know given recent history that they would not be held accountable.

no......its an annuity.......insurance is only paid out to those who have a claim based upon a need......SS is paid out to everyone, in the same amount, whether they need it or not......its not a pool of shared risk, its a savings account in an uninsured "bank".........paying out interest that was never earned.....

She was clear on the reason for his invitation and he tried an end run on it. She slapped him down and he left like a beaten puppy dog. And the coward was too much of a pussy to say anything to her face, so the cunt has to tweet the next day. The international leaders would eat this punk alive.
