You know what I want to see? Unless the nominee is a complete extremist I don't care if he/she is a conservative or a liberal.

What I want to see for the Supreme court is a qualified candidate who is not from the insular inbred Harvard/Yale law school clique. I want to see a Supreme Court more representative of the electorate geographically and intellectually. I want to see a qualifed justice who studied law at Stanford or U. of Chicago or Vanderbilt,etc. Hell I'd like to see one from good ole State U who has proven themselves as a superior legal ability within the legal profession not based on where they went to school necessarily.

Our legal system at the highest level has become intellectualy inbred and this is not good for the nation.

I love your misplaced confidence; it is proof that you have gulped, not merely swallowed, the DNC koolaid.

It will be fascinating to see the looks on yours, the media and Hitlery's faces when the results do not turn out as they had attempted to fabricate and pull them.

well i'm definately a populist -it's why I can support both Bernie and Trump. But I'm not completely sold on populism for SCOTUS.
I like the idea of diversification-but the main requirement for me is stare decisis with textualism.

I am not happy when cases are constantly glommed up without checking the ever-growing federal gov't roles.
But hey. that's my "ideology". enough of that.

I do agree with you that the eggheads from the same old schools could use some fresh perspectives.

I want someone outside of the ivy league. I don't like how the same ideas are circulated within that group as if they are the only ones valid. Their are plenty of great minds from outside that circle.

It is true that their is no constitutional requirement, but good luck getting that past the Senate.
