I have seen numerous stories on this complaining that Trump is playing us. They are all filled with stupidity and a refusal to consider the obvious answers.
Was Trump playing 20d chess when he talked about his support of Article 12? No, the simpler answer is that he does not know that there is no article 12. Was it part of his con when he reffered to "two corinthians?" The students at Liberty University sure seemed to understand that he's just an idiot.
He has been tweeting or saying stupid things for decades. But you tinfoil hat motherfuckers expect us to believe his eruptions on the central park 5 were all part of his slow play.

Trump is truly lacking in intelligence in a huge # of areas. But he is a genius manipulator. It's been his life, and the driving aspect of his success - he knows how to play people to a T.

The problem is honest people who take Trump for his word. You cant take him for his word, he is dishonest. Once you accept that you can understand Trump better. The guy either never had an honest bone in his body, or gave honesty up long ago.
Maybe honesty is a value many no longer care about. I try to live by it.

To assist, try imagining if Obama had tweeted that we should start encouraging abortion for population-control purposes, or that there should be a lottery for gun ownership.
I'm sure the right would be all smart about that and sit on their hands.

Some think its legal but they dont have to like it. Therefore whether I think its legal or not I dont like seeing it. It also happens rarely enough even with the left that its a shock when it does.
I dont know what the response to abortion would be so ill go with gun ownership lottery. A bunch of right wing guys buy guns..... soo... thats commonplace and noone would care. Enough people support and not support the act of gun ownership that the media can safely take either side.

There would be much more than you're indicating above. But regardless, it's pretty inane to think that a few protestors burning flags is making anyone think "I guess I'll just have to vote GOP from now on." What an unbelievable stretch that is.
I agree, but that is not the way it should be, I certainty could not operate like that. Trump is different, they are all somewhat dishonest, but with Trump you never really know anything, you elected a personality not an agenda. He has shared no real agenda, its secret. Intelligent people know most of what he said he would do is impossible or so vague it had almost no meaning.
