I find it highly amusing that Omar Barghouti, co-founder of BDS, didn't take his own advice and enrolled at Tel Aviv university to study for a PhD. If that isn't exquisitely ironic then I don't know what is.

And so......what now for Palestine and its protectors under international law ? We've seen the tail-end of a US administration give a nod towards justice, peace and the rule of law by keeping schtum when asked to condemn Israeli criminality. That was better than using a nauseatingly hypocritical veto- as was usually the case. But Obama gave Israel fifty billion dollars of US taxpayers money and voted against recognition of the Palestinian state at the United Nations when 138 other countries voted for it- a humiliating defeat for the US along with the eight other countries who voted against the physical and legal reality of a state of Palestine. As he left the White House, Obama could have made a difference. He could have recognized Palestine and freed millions of people from the tyranny of neoZionism. Instead- he gave us Chelsea Manning.
So goodbye, Barack-the-might-have-been.
And hello, Donald-the-wannabe.
But does Donald really want to kill off all hope of peace and justice in the Middle East- maybe in all the world- by moving the American Embassy into occupied territory and compromising all Americans by putting his new-found power behind the criminal Israeli regime ? The world won't stand for it, you know. America is not as powerful as hardened patriots would have us believe. The US is not beyond compromise and the way forward for Trump is to comply with international law. That's how to make America great.

Do you think the Middle East would be any safer if Israel didn't exist?the trumpf said everything he does will be for the "AMERICAN PPL & to create jobs".......... How will this move/change do that??
We give them a couple billion free money every year & that helps arms dealers & manufacturers & the rest of us pay for it.![]()

1933
FDR creates the WPA
On this day in 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs an executive order creating the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The WPA was just one of many Great Depression relief programs created under the auspices of the Emergency Relief Appropriations Act, which Roosevelt had signed the month before. The WPA, the Public Works Administration (PWA) and other federal assistance programs put unemployed Americans to work in return for temporary financial assistance. Out of the 10 million jobless men in the United States in 1935, 3 million were helped by WPA jobs alone.
While FDR believed in the elementary principles of justice and fairness, he also expressed disdain for doling out welfare to otherwise able workers. So, in return for monetary aid, WPA workers built highways, schools, hospitals, airports and playgrounds. They restored theaters–such as the Dock Street Theater in Charleston, S.C.–and built the ski lodge at Oregon’s Mt. Hood. The WPA also put actors, writers and other creative arts professionals back to work by sponsoring federally funded plays, art projects, such as murals on public buildings, and literary publications. FDR safeguarded private enterprise from competition with WPA projects by including a provision in the act that placed wage and price controls on federally funded products or services.
Opponents of the New Deal in Congress gradually pared back WPA appropriations in the years leading up to World War II. By 1940, the economy was roaring back to life with a surge in defense-industry production and, in 1943, Congress suspended many of the programs under the ERA Act, including the WPA.

That hardly means that..........
There are many problems there, as there are everywhere~the continued colonization is a YUGE problem, has been & will continue to be so...........
nutyahoo has no intentions to stop & now the new ruler has decided for us that he is in favor of it & us paying for it...........
You're the man with the plan, so can you tell me how the Israelis are supposed to negotiate with two factions, namely Fatah and Hamas, that hate each other's guts? There hasn't even been an election for over ten years now. The Israelis will never go back to the 1967 borders and anybody with even a semblance of common sense knows that's true. That hardly means that..........

The US has over a thousand military bases worldwide . Despite being twenty trillion dollars in debt the government continues to maintain these and continues to shower corrupt foreign regimes- such as Israel's- with billions of dollars annually . Quite obviously- these actions do not, and were never intended to, help the American people. They are are intended to maintain the status quo , to subjugate the world's population for the enrichment and power of the few.
Now, the Trumpster claims to want to address this- but if he does then it will be because revolution comes a-knocking on his door, not because he has a shred of humanitarian moral fibre. How will he go about it ? Here's what FDR did;
It was the WPA which made America great. Unfortunately , capitalists saw their opportunities in militarism and that ' greatness ' became sullied and militarism led to the worldwide clusterfuck that we are witnessing today. So we should be asking how ANY program to help Americans can function without depending upon the military/industrial complex to provide jobs by the production and sale of arms in order to leech upon foreign countries.
Ending foreign aid would be a good start. No more hand-outs to parasites like the Israelis- and a firm refusal to pander to their corrupt supporters in the West. If we can cleanse western governments and institutions of these war-mongers and terror-brokers then we can start to save waste by the billions and begin to spend it on the people at home.
Is Trump man enough for that ? Nope. He actually GIVES his OWN money to illegal Israeli programs, as does his scurrilous son-in-law. Just imagine how free they're going to be with yours .

Did you notice how Moonie just totally ignored the fact that his Lord and Master is an ocean going hypocrite.

Trump is there simply because Billary would have been worse. It's expected that he will do some damage while his time lasts- but it's been calculated that his time won't be long and that the damage won't be Billary-bad. Pence ? He'll be a stop-gap and America won't make the same mistakes again thereafter. Opinion, of course- we'll see.
