I wouldn't say that Russia is an "enemy" (though Mitt Romney - who you voted for - called them our "#1 geopolitical foe" in 2012). But they are certainly not to be trusted. They went to war w/ the Ukraine despite our sanctions; they interfered with OUR election, at least on some level; and Putin is a really, really bad dude.

They may not be an "enemy" in the traditional sense, but they're sure not a friend.

Add to that the fact that they own trump, and have paid bribes to a number of his campaign staff/cabinet members over the years. That's how govts. operate. There are very few humans who can resist the temptation of money.

There's no comparison. Birtherism was an attempt to delegitimize a black president and was based on rumors and lies.

Russia, on the other hand, has had it's paws on worldwide elections since the days of Gorbachev, including the recent election in France. Everyone, except ironically, you guys who still think Obama is a muslim socialist born in Kenya - knows that Russia influenced the election. To what extent, and to what extent Trump's holdings in Russia and their ties to oligarchs are involved - are yet to be seen.
