Deflection. trump tweeted, bellowed and and snarked about "radical Islamic terrorism" throughout the campaign. He called out Obama and Hillary for not using it. He painted all Muslims with the broad brush of threat and suspicion. Then when he was in front of an Arab leader whose state is a hotbed of terrorism, he wussed out of using the phrase. You may want to defend his lies but that's not going to stop the rest of us from calling him out.

No one ever claimed it would be a panacea.
But it demonstrates a sort of moral cowardice to go to absurd lengths to not-name such an obvious enemy. And I'm quite sure they saw it that way too.
And yes, Bush was guilty of it as well.
So trump was a moral coward by not saying it in front of King Salman.

It's easy enough to keep using the phrase in front of his faithful but if he won't say it at the source it doesn't matter. Has he actually said it in any Arab country he visited?
