Part of being a leader is doing the unpopular thing. Moving our embassy to Israel is a good example of that. Did it score points with the arguably antisemitic UN? No.

Was it the right thing to do for an important ally? Unquestionably.

Poor/weak leaders won’t lift a finger till they read what the polls say.

That can be a big mistake in some cases, but time will tell. He also doesn’t listen to his advisors, that can also lead to a lot of problems. He is after all, an elected official voted to represent our country, I always thought elected official should listen to their constituents, not do as they please.

I agree with your general premise here Covfefe. This country as you well know does not have Kings. Elected officials need to listen to their constituents and govern accordingly. I personally do not think polls are a method they should be utilizing for that task though.
