Further, it is an impulse Democrats encourage in government and Republicans discourage. There can be no reasonable argument otherwise, as mass tough love is nothing more than indifference at best, disdain and hate at worst.
Not using government to help people less well off is a policy choice Republicans favor. It can't be denied with a straight face. Republicans discourage love, but they love to go to churches and sing about it.

It is God and Jesus's message that separates humans from our base nature and calls on us to rise to a higher level. Was Jesus operating on the selfish principal when he did not fight his crusifiction? When he turned the other cheek? When he fed the masses?

We are called upon to rise above our base instincts and live in a less worldly way. We are to do our best to emulate Jesus's example and LOVE.

Well, I've worked for the Samaritans and as a Counsellor, but that degree of self-sacrifice seems to be asking rather a lot, Sailor! :)

You are a good man. My contribution is more getting needed supplies worldwide to nations in dire straits and making access to ports. Generally due to natural disasters though humanitarian crisis seems to be filling the billets more than usual the last 10 years or so.

I guess by my content it's obvious I disagree. You can 86 God and Jesus and come to the same conclusions and actions, or other ones altogether.

There are some that consider "Jesus" and god synonymous. But that's a conclusion.

I'm sympathetic with those that seek divine inspiration, etc.

You don't have to believe in God to be loved and favored by God.
