I've lived in the NE as well as the South, and New Englanders are far, far more racist.
But the lefties continue to propagate the lie that we southerners are toothless, tobacco chewing, beer drinking, inbreeding racists.

Are you referring to the use of a particular term?
TDAK aside this is an interesting situation. I saw this story yesterday and that she had been kicked out of her sorority but didn't know she had been kicked out of school.
I ask this for the sake of discussion. Is kicking her out the best option? This seems like a teachable moment where you have someone who messed up but it could be turned into something good long term. So is expulsion the best way to get there?
(again just asking for discussion)

Isn't it awesome? It's almost like we have a fence around the place that someone else built and maintains, keeping the ignorant and closed-minded out.
LOL. Very easily. Funny you don't know
Why do blacks use it then? If it's so offensive.

Do you really not understand, or do you just pretend not understand?
It is used among each other to neutralize its impact. The same has been done by different groups with other words. But that doesn't take away the pain of the word when it's used by others towards them.
Do you really not understand, or do you just pretend not understand?
Why not just not use it at all.
If its offensive. No one should use it.
Because they turned it into a word of empowerment. Ultimately what does it matter to you, me or anyone else?
On a scale of 1-10, how desperate are you to use the word, while, simultaneously, receiving societal validation for using the word?
I don't use the word, so I fail to see your point.
Does it make sense to use something that you are offended by? I don't call my friends cracker or honkie.
Because they turned it into a word of empowerment. Ultimately what does it matter to you, me or anyone else?
Exactly so. Just like we women have embraced the word "bitch" and adopted it as a word of acclaim. It's a word used by males (and other females too sometimes) threatened by strong, assertive women. So we bitches recognize that and thank those who use it for recognizing our toughness.
