Are we better off with a discredited FBI?

How about intel agencies, and the media?

No - we're less safe, more vulnerable & diminished in ways that most of us probably can't comprehend yet.

And please don't give me the "they brought it on themselves." Every single bit of this - the Nunes memo, "fake news," conspiracies & overblown suspicion - is designed to protect one man. A guy who makes his living on a foundation of lies & exaggerations, but has somehow inspired a nearly blind loyalty out of not only supporters but many who recognized in the campaign that he IS a con man and charlatan.

Hannity is the leading voice for most of the charges against these institutions. Just take a few minutes to think about that one.

You discredit Trump every day and you're bitching about this? Hack.

How come those who care about Hillary's deleted emails don't care about Bush's missing emails? 22 million of them which should have been archived. Are you all pissed about them as well?

I'm sure not a single one of those 22 million had anything important in them, right?

You don't get to dictate what the facts are because you don't want to hear them, little Thingy.

Wrongdoing can't be covered up because you feel less safe when it's exposed.

Have we ever had this many Republicans decide to not run for reelection...ever? Most of them are in it for life unless something like say a scandal forces them out.

First of all, I don't know that the number of people retiring from Congress is unprecedented.

Secondly, many conservatives feel that Congressional term limits can and should be self-imposed even if the law doesn't mandate it.

Thirdly, it seems to be a surprise to liberals that not very Republican is devoted to Trump. there is great deal of mutual animus between the president and never-Trumpers.

Why are you grasping at straws here?

I'm not.

I appreciate a forum as open as this one...as lightly moderated.

I understand some people will use the openness...and light moderation...to post garbage that insults themselves as much as their targets and the forum..but usually staff people have a bit more respect for the forum.

Obviously, Royal Highness is not such a person.

:crybaby:

They have got to wake up...and see the damage this guy is doing to our nation; our standing in the world; and to the institutions that made us what we were before he started trashing us.

I don't care about any perceived diminution of America's status in the world, nor do I accept the validity of liberal claims that it's occurring.

We are solely responsible for cleaning up our own house. Not the UN, not the EU. American values are what matter to Americans. Don't like it? Tough.

I'm not surprised that there are some Republicans who are not devoted to Trump, I'm relieved. Proof that, while I may not support a Republican president over all when they win an election, I can still support the process because there are still Republicans who also support the process. You all aren't the deplorables you try so desperately to portray yourselves as. Good for you.

Passive-aggressive much?

People leaving Congress is a good thing, IMO. I'd like to see more of it.
