This will probably do nothing in the way of preventing the gun grabbers from politicizing this tragedy but the shooter would have been a bomber had they taken his guns away.

The media going out of its way to ignore or under report facts is a form of politicization.

They’re rock stars at it.

But my OP point was that the shooter was caught exploring bombs making. He apparently had a Plan B if they would have taken his guns.

And yes, he had no business being near a weapon.

The likely reason the kid did not use a bomb is because the Government has made it VERY difficult to attain explosives in quantities necessary for mass death without detection. There are common sense restrictions on purchase and possession of the material needed. Even the Boston Bombers who were forced to create crude pressure cooker bombs were prevented from killing these amounts of people. He used an AR-15 because the government has no restrictions on its ownership by people of his age.

More people have to get on board with "if you see something, say something". I've heard more than a few kids interviewed who heard stories of him threatening to shoot things up at the school or they knew of his twisted history and behavior. So there it is..........9 times out of 10 it's other people who don't speak up and report this type of stuff.

The only mass shooter I can think of who was really a blank slate was the Las Vegas guy.
