Jesus Christ, George Dumbya Bush was an international laughing stock in 2008, with an approval rating around 28%, and had blundered the nation into two failed wars and driven the nation to the edge of a Second Great Republican Depression. He was on life support politically, and widely reviled and despised. And even Dumbya had the sense and fortitude to show up to the correspondants dinnder.
