Yeah Trump will keep you safe. Trump is the end of all of this. Just like in 2004 you passed a ton of gay marriage bans across the nation, in 2008 even California passed one. That was the end of the subject, yesiree nothing left to say on that and the conservatives won. The voters has spoken and given their ascent to the conservative perspective.

Eight years later, it is legal nationwide and majorities in almost every state support it. Overwhelming, total victory. That's what we can accomplish when the tides turn, as it inevitably will. In fact modern conservatism is unpopular as it is, it only has attained so much power by exploiting undemocratic systems like the electoral college and gerrymandering. Like icarus you've flown to near the sun using your false waxen wings, and the fall will be glorious.

From a position of power, it always looks like the current social structures will continue on forever as they are. They never do.
