Rosanne gets the ax!

The only people bring up Hillary are Trump fans..... or haven't you noticed? They are pretty consistent.

Actually I see Hillary all over the place blaming voters for her loss; voter shaming those who rejected her ties to the Wall Street/donor/"job creator" class and her war mongering.

No idea whether she did or not, don't give a fuck either way, Hillary is irredeemable whether she did or not. Only partisanshitheads get trapped in this oh-yeah-well-your-guys-are-shittier-than-my-guys power structure ruse.

Who is it that you think cares about Hillary?

Hillary wasn't a good candidate.. That's why Trump won.. and then she wrote that stupid whiny book..

Just like he's been evading my question if he supports trump's comment that kneeling NFL players don't belong in this country.

This is a cagey one.
He thinks if he speaks like an intellectual that his ignorant racist message won't be challenged.
His cowardice and evasive dancing in the face of direct questions reveals just what we are dealing with.
Boiling just under the surface lies another CFM.

You guessed wrong. We have discussed this before. I voted for Jill Stein.

The number of voters does not mitigate the fact that Hillary called a black woman a brain dead buffalo. I'm not the one experiencing the cognitive dissonance. I imagine you'd say nothing at all if someone called a female in your family a buffalo.

:0) So says the white guy supposed Stein supporter. If you were truly a Stein supporter .. which I doubt .. we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Calling a woman in my family a 'buffalo' doesn't make it racist. What Barr said was decidedly racist .. and you claiming not to know that is all the tell I need know about where your sentiments lie.

Some confuse being articulate with being enlightened. Some like CFM have to look up the terms.

so the issue wasn't whether Michigan law made it illegal to fire someone for their political beliefs, but what you hoped and dreamed might happen.......

Wrong.
I quoted MI law, and it is illegal for employers to discriminate against political expression.
I only expand to show that it is also basic to the constitution of MI, as well as the US federal constitution.
There is nothing tenuous about it.
What ABC did was totally illegal.

Barr’s tweet referencing Jarrett, who she said is what you’d get if the “muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes had a baby,” was not the first time the Roseanne star has made racist comments toward black women. In 2013, Barr said former National Security Advisor Susan Rice was a “big man with swinging ape balls” in a since-deleted tweet.

Wrong.
The actual quote was:
“muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj."
Which most likely referred to ideology, not actually having sex and any thing to do with race.
The Muslim Brotherhood has nothing to do with race, and the movie "Planet of the Apes" has nothing to do with race.

And no, Roseanne has never made any racist comments about anyone, ever.
A “big man with swinging ape balls” has absolutely no racial aspect what so ever.
And Susan Rice was likely being complimented for all we know.

That may be what you do, but what you do about Roseanne is a personal business decision, not a business decision.

... and no, one does not get to say any damn thing they want publicly without consequence ..

What Roseanne does on her own time is illegal for her employer to have any say about at all.
The law is clear and this is illegal political discrimination.

And YES, legally you get to say any damn thing you want publicly without consequence, as long as it is not illegal libel/slander, illegal obscenity, or illegally inciting others to violence.
You can say anything as rude or crude as you can think of, and no one legally can stop you.

Roseanne is so ignorant she claimed Valarie Jarrett was a Muslim and followed the Muslim Brotherhood.

Private employment doesn't protect freedom of speech.. Only the government does that.

Nonsense.
What she was saying is that the US was being too nice to the Islamic Brotherhood and Iran.
It was a metaphor over policies.

And YES, private employment most certainly does protect freedom of speech.
And fact your freedom of speech is supposed to be an individual right, so is supposed to be protected from anyone.

If you think that only government is prevented from discriminating against political expression, you are totally wrong.
The 1st amendment was incorporated after the 14th amendment was passed, and now is interpreted as an individual right by the judiciary.

Each state also have protection for free speech.
Here is CA law:
{...
But two sections of the California Labor Code (sections 1101 and 1102) specify that private employers may not do any of the following:

Make, adopt or enforce any rule or policy forbidding or preventing employees from engaging or participating in politics or running for public office;
Make, adopt or enforce any rule or policy that tends to control or direct the political activities or affiliations of employees;5 or
Use the threat of job loss to coerce, influence or attempt to coerce or influence employees to take or refrain from taking any particular course of political activity.6
It follows from these laws against employer political suppression or coercion that employers may not fire or retaliate against employees for their political activity or beliefs.
...}
So yes, private employment also has to allow freedom of speech.

First she blamed sleeping bills for her ignorant thought .. then she claimed that she thought Jarrett was white.

Small wonder why Trump liked her.

And you don't think sleeping pills interfere with one's ability to communicate effectively?
Of course it does.

And if Roseanne thought Jarrett was white, then in no way could her comment have been intended to be racist.
Doesn't matter if it was accurate, rude, or whatever.
It clearly then could not have been intended to be racist.
