Federal judge writes law banning publishing of 3-D gun blueprints

There is a supreme cout precident about this. Long ago they tried to ban a dude for revealing about how to make an atomic bomb. The court allowed the author to publish it. However, after it is published the author can be sued for things that go wrong for publishing it. Like if someone made a bomb from the plans and exploded it at the capital he would be in deep shit.

For example, about the gun, if it were published and some lunitic made A gun from it and killed someone illegally

with it then he could be sued for that.

Sincerely,
JPP's legal expert.

this is the bullshit leftist legal argument.......blame everyone else for your incompetence or negligence. it's why a bartender can be charged with negligent homicide because they didn't cut off the town drunk soon enough and he went out and hit some kid.

Nobody is above the law. What if it was your kid who was killed?

That may be, but it certainly shouldn't be. That's akin to suing a pharma company because somebody decided to swallow a whole bottle of their product to kill themselves. Or suing McDonald's because somebody ordered 20 double bacon cheeseburgers and had a heart attack. Or suing a recreational sports company because somebody bought one of their baseball bats and beat the shit out their wife with it. The people who make things should not be held responsible for what other people decide to do with those things.

little reality check for you, unprincipled one. it's not anyones power to restrict the freedom of others because someone abused their freedom. if it was my kid that was killed, i'd be angry at the ONLY ONE responsible.....the one that pulled the trigger. blaming anyone else, especially for information that is already out there, is bullshit.

If this is the case you're referring to, it was dropped by the feds and no precedent was set.

only in his homeland of russia

Russians are not under constant surveillance by the corporate state like americans are, and americans can be put to death upon the orders of a president now. Obama did targeted assassinations, so can Don, American citizens are not off limits. You can also be whisked away, "legally" to a black site, be held indefinitely without being charged, and tortured. We are our own "homeland" now.

Which makes it even sillier that a befuddled swath of the public yearns to be walled in by an authoritarian power structure that already kennels children, administering psychotropic drugs to them - just because they can, without anyone's consent (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...e-rules/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.43f35a49512a). In a post-industrial empire/society in decline, cannibalizing itself in endless wars of expansionism, as empires in decline are wont to do. Without enough livable wage jobs, with corporate for profit prisons with corporate convict slave labor leasing. With militarized police to Palestinianism the american public for the ruling industrial class.

I don't see that we have much room to wag our exceptional fingers at any other authoritarian regime.

lefties and righties are really all about authoritarianism. they want to protect their own precious freedoms while telling the other side this is what they cannot do. started with Clinton and continues now. no side, politically, wants to surrender their power over the people.

Started with the founding actually.

“[A social division exists] between the rich and the poor, the laborious and the idle, the learned and the ignorant. … Nothing, but force, and power and strength can restrain [the latter].” —John Adams in a letter to Thomas Jefferson (1787)

Trump's agents do a lot of wet work. Trump, himself admitted that.
