Well, the FBI and DOJ are part of the Executive Branch and Nunes is exerting his constitutional authority that you claimed. Congress has oversight over the FBI and DOJ. Rosnweasel has been slow walking information requested by Congress.

Can you tell me exactly what quote by Nunes has you lefties so incensed?

Congress created the DoJ and Congress is tasked with oversight

"Incensed," hardly, Nunes just mistakenly told everyone exactly what he is, a waterboy for the White House who sees protecting Trump as his job; "Sessions won't un-recuse and Mueller won't clear the president, we're the only ones"

Kinda exposes not only the purpose of his shame of an investigation but also how he interprets the role of the Legislative Branch, to defend the Executive Branch, as I noted, not what the Founding Fathers had in mind with checks and balances

The speech he got caught exposing himself in wasn't about overseeing the Justice Dept, it was about the need to come to the aid of Trump, "Sessions won't un-recuse and Mueller won't clear the president, we're the only ones," he incriminated himself in what everyone already knew

So you think he is saying that he is the only one who can clear the President? Really?

Do you think he has that kind of power? He doesn't. Not all by himself.

If you look at all of his comments in CONTEXT (which I know you won't) he is essentially saying that if the democrat party retakes the House they will shut down the investigations into the FBI and DOJ illegalities. That is why Rosenweasel is slow walking the requests from the oversight committees.

No, he's not talking FBI or DOJ, he is talking protecting Trump, if it was about oversight why would he make a point of accenting Sessions taking himself out of the picture?

And the "slow" arguement is another Nunes/Jordan/Goudy/Meadows facade, the requested thousands of documents and then bitch because the DOJ is slow filling the request

It is clear he is putting party over people, I don’t know about being a traitor, though. I’m sure Mueller’s team is looking into him. I know he’s a definite liar.
