Pelosi is at best an imperfect being, and despite her technical skills may have outlasted her usefulness as a political leader.
Schumer seems a hard-working detail man, a formidable opponent for any Republican that opposes him.
Deficient though each of them are, their inadequacies pale in comparison to the GOP party & leadership.
The Republican party is rudderless.
During the Obama administration Leader Senator McConnell (R-KY) well earned the GOP the reputation for "the party of NO!"
They were obstructionist in the extreme.
This left the Republican party and leadership atrophied when they regained political control.
Apart from Trump packing the courts, what has the GOP done since Obama left office?
At least the Democrats including Pelosi / Schumer, have an agenda:
- education
- environment
- infrastructure
- our troops afield
