If FBI comes back with nothing

They've gone off the deep end by just making up crap calling Kavanaugh an alcoholic. A couple of week ago it was whining about not having all the documents. Suddenly, that is forgotten and they have resorted to false personal attacks.

The way he answered some of the drinking questions he was asked at the hearing was telling. In the comment below, the right answer was either yes, no or I don't remember, not turning the question back on Klobuchar.

"Sen. Amy Klobuchar asked whether Kavanaugh had ever blacked out from drinking or consumed so much alcohol that he couldn't remember a certain period of time. Kavanaugh directed the question back to the senator: "I don't know. Have you?"

the FBI has looked at Donald Trump since July, 2016 and found nothing......what do you think they're going to find about Kavanaugh in a week?......

Yes, I think he made a mistake by getting confrontational (he had previously answered that question by saying he had not). But making the jump from that to saying he is an alcoholic is just plain crazy and mean. Trying smear the individuals involved in an accusation, both Ford and Kavanaugh, has become a new low in American politics. We have done that to Anita Hill and the four women accusing Bill Clinton of sexual assault.

It was a stupid question. The point is that it's rude to interrupt anybody, men or women, when they're speaking. Isn't that one of the things you learned in kindergarten?

It's what society has evolved to in the last 20 years. Reporters even interrupt the POTUS now, routinely. It seems that your outrage is selective.

:tardthoughts:

You mean what society has devolved to in the last 20 years. It was crystal-clear Kavanaugh was going to be hostile to any Dem questioner. That's to be expected but he didn't have the class or the temperament to control himself and project a better image. Face it, Kavanaugh was his own worst enemy at the hearing.

He will be confirmed and it will make impeachment impossible

Nope. It will be the narrative that FBI didn't have enough time to verify he's not a rapist. therefore, we have to find another nominee. Sorry. We just needed more time but republicans couldn't wait.

If the FBI comes back with information challenging Bret's account the right will cry "deep state" and the House lackeys will immediately commerce an "investigation" with a Nunes's' memo to follow shortly thereafter

There are several examples of late that serve as evidence to bolster that view.

That's your opinion, obviously based on your liberalism, nothing more. Mine's very different.

So are you hysterical over his interrupting women only? Or equally upset that he interrupted men? I'm assuming that you're a great fan of Chris Matthews.

No it doesn't make impeachment impossible, it just makes this president above the law, but really, he already told everyone he sees himself as above the law. And didn't we all already know the law is not for wealthy entitled white males of privilege?

Bart was clearly the hysterical one Thursday.

I'm not hysterical period, and nothing I wrote suggests otherwise. And I don't have cable and never watched Chris Matthews.

The real issue is that the republican party doesn't have a good image regarding women's issues and Kavanaugh didn't improve it.
