Nixon was never charged with anything, but if he had been, I am guessing considering fire bombing the Brookings Institute to destroy evidence in its safe would have been considered a tad more than a process crime even in the 1970's

ABC News has learned that at least three new witnesses connected to Stone associate Jerome Corsi – the former Washington, D.C., bureau chief for the far-right internet site Infowars – have been subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury hearing testimony on the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Copies of those subpoenas delivered to two individuals late last year bear Mueller’s name and call for the retention and producing of documents, communication logs and other records involving two people: Corsi and Stone.

The two individuals, whose names have not been publicly released, also testified before Mueller’s grand jury in December, according to the subpoenas and three sources who confirmed their attendance.

Come up with some scurrilous charge and then investigate, investigate, investigate until you find someone who's story didn't quite line up and then accuse them of "lying to the FBI".

This has been prosecutorial misconduct from the ver beginning. Michael Flynn was set up. Everyone knows he didn't "lie" to the FBI, but he was being threatened with financial ruin and they threatened to go after his son.

I can't begin to describe the horrible things I hope happen to the people who perpetrated this travesty along with those who support it from afar. Remember Teddy Kennedy, got away with murdering Mary Jo, but in the end he died shitting his pants not being able to remember those around him. What goes around, comes the fuck around

There will be plenty left, but it will be in tatters. I am hoping qualified, competent leadership will come along to get us back on track. I expect the repair will be very difficult and take a long time, though.

We disagree completely on Michelle...and I'm not sure what you mean by "put us so far in depth we may never recover"...but compared to what Donald Trump is doing to us, President Obama gave us grace, class, and intellect...qualities all missing from Trump.

I am not a liberal...loony or otherwise.

Unlike you, I have always maintained that whatever Mueller comes up with...I will be satisfied. If he says Donald Trump is not guilty of anything...I will accept that. If he says Donald Trump is a thief and a murderer...I will accept that. If he says that Donald Trump MAY be a thief and a felon, but there is not enough evidence to even bring him to trial...I will accept that.

I have also said that my preference would be for Trump to leave office on January 20th, 2021 (being voted out by the voters)...that he not be impeached or put on trial.

So what the hell are you talking about that I should prepare to have my year spoiled????

President Nixon, despite his many personal failings, was an astute politician...and a reasonably intelligent negotiator. He also was loyal to and protective of his advisors and friends. (Which may be the reason he was forced out of office!)

Donald Trump is NOT an astute politician...is not intelligent...is an horrendous negotiator...and will throw advisors and friends under a bus at the drop of a hat.

President Nixon was ten times the president Donald Trump could ever be.
