Ralph Northam should resign!

You and I didn't write these unwritten rules! But we all know what they are- When a politician- regardless to party- cannot defend their past of being accused of a racially insensitive act- or comment- or a sexually insensitive act- or comment, or it is discovered that the politician broke any laws- in his past- they must resign!

And that has always been the unwritten rule- for both Democrats and Republicans! It's about ethics!

When and if President Trump has been proven to break any laws- then or now, he must resign as well!

Explain Robert Byrd, then.

It would certainly show who the hypocrites are here right? And more than likely clear out the deadwood that have been sucking of the taxpayer tits for all these years. Pelosi and Schumer come to mind.

I hear that Pelosi shows signs of dementia, Cap'n.

That is all!

If he was one of those ppl in that photo, he should. Just because Reichwingers circle the wagons around their racists (Toadstool, Steve King), pedophiles (Moore), sexual assaulters (Kavanaugh) doesn't mean that we can't hold OUR ppl to a higher standard of behavior.

Explain Robert Byrd, then.

Thanks for the question, and I deserve to have to try and answer it.

So, you got me- I should take it back that they just let Republicans off the hook- as you are right that the Democrats have let some of theirs off the hook too.

Can't change the past- But we can do a better job in the future!

I don't try to defend Robert Byrd, as I already know that he had a racist background, and should never have been seated in Congress.

But he was elected back in 1952! Back when it was supposed to be cool to be in the KKK- and they didn't mind having Democrats alongside the Republicans as members!

How he survived in the senate for 52 years is beyond me!

Here is a list of politicians that were associated with the KKK at one time or another:

If that meant a white republican would be taking his place would you be so furtive in your demand?

Furtive means sneaky. Jarod isn't being furtive. I can't speak for him, but if resigning means an (R) takes this guy's place, oh well. The replacement though should be up to the voters in VA.

Still hoping those lies get believed huh.... Pitiful.

Byrd was also elected in 2006. His time should have long since been up.

Here is the deal...

You have to draw a line in the sand- you have to take care of your own dirty laundry- that is if you want others to take care of theirs.

Had this racially insensitive act be known before the governor was elected- he would have never been nominated by the Democrats anyway!

Now that we found a skeleton in his closet- he needs to resign!

It's what is called using moral responsibility and obligation to your political party!

This is not about Republicans- this is about the governor- and how the Democrats are reacting to it. PERIOD!

The Republicans would do best to just STFU and deal with the skeletons in their own closets- because there plenty of them, and they can go deal with them!

And we'll deal with our own!

And if the allegations are false as he claims, then what?
