If he was one of those ppl in that photo, he should. Just because Reichwingers circle the wagons around their racists (Toadstool, Steve King), pedophiles (Moore), sexual assaulters (Kavanaugh) doesn't mean that we can't hold OUR ppl to a higher standard of behavior.

So, you got me- I should take it back that they just let Republicans off the hook- as you are right that the Democrats have let some of theirs off the hook too.

Can't change the past- But we can do a better job in the future!

I don't try to defend Robert Byrd, as I already know that he had a racist background, and should never have been seated in Congress.

But he was elected back in 1952! Back when it was supposed to be cool to be in the KKK- and they didn't mind having Democrats alongside the Republicans as members!

How he survived in the senate for 52 years is beyond me!

Furtive means sneaky. Jarod isn't being furtive. I can't speak for him, but if resigning means an (R) takes this guy's place, oh well. The replacement though should be up to the voters in VA.

Byrd was also elected in 2006. His time should have long since been up.

The Republicans would do best to just STFU and deal with the skeletons in their own closets- because there plenty of them, and they can go deal with them!
