So, you got me- I should take it back that they just let Republicans off the hook- as you are right that the Democrats have let some of theirs off the hook too.
Can't change the past- But we can do a better job in the future!
I don't try to defend Robert Byrd, as I already know that he had a racist background, and should never have been seated in Congress.
But he was elected back in 1952! Back when it was supposed to be cool to be in the KKK- and they didn't mind having Democrats alongside the Republicans as members!
How he survived in the senate for 52 years is beyond me!
