What right do Dems have to Trump's tax returns?

Yurt

Willin to be Chillin
Not some obscure law. They are not required for office. And the losers are now trying to create a bill that mandates candidates must release 3 recent years of returns.

That smells like a bill of attainder. Their obsession with his tax returns is not going to bode well for them. It is petty nonsense.

Just his word (which means nothing, FYI).

They have no right, but if they're going to do it anyways, I say make it 10 years, and make it a requirement for every single member of the House and Senate too.

Mueller almost certainly has access to Trump's tax returns and will refer to them in his report. The appropriate house committees can request the tax returns as a way to assess the veracity of Mueller's comments.

The Congressional joint committee on taxation has the right to request his taxes. six Democrats and three Republicans voted to release Nixon's tax returns to the public. This is all part of congress's oversight responsibility.

Mnuchin can refuse the request but the few times I request has been made in the past it has always been granted.

You do have a need to be ignorant don't you.

"Right?" No right, but the bigger question is why has Trump gone out of his way to resist and having to lie about releasing his taxes, a transparency practice every other candidate has done going back decades

I know how uneducated you knuckle draggers are but they actually have every right. the Congressional oversight committee has done this in the past with six Democrats and three Republicans voting to release Nixon tax records to the public. you Russian bots are just too damn ignorant of American law you need to go get reprogrammed.

Being the president opens you up to scrutinization, especially if you are suspect. Duh.

Good, no right, then the Dems are foolish for trying to create a right.

Who cares why, he doesn't have to.

Do you think the IRS are so incompetent that they never check his returns?

Not about checking his returns, rather, how has he fulfilled that civic responsibility that every other American is expected to do, and, perhaps even larger, does he have interests that conflict with him holding the office of President

Question becomes, why has he gone out of his way to stall and even lie about releasing his taxes as every other candidate has for decades?

Why would Mueller have access? I already mentioned that obscure law you imbecile.

Suspect about his taxes? What law do you imagine he violated?

Is he required to release them? Yes or no.

I explained it to you but you're too f****** stupid to follow the conversation go take a nap till you sober up.
