I don't think anything in this thread (or anything at all for that matter) really warrants such a response, but the potential for it is deep in the psyche of everyone.

It's just a matter of how easily someone can be driven to verbalize such thoughts.

Apparently with Top, it can be provoked quite easily.

Attacking one's race, gender, or sexuality says absolutely nothing about that individual. If I'm going to criticize you, then I'm going to criticize YOU (not you of course), and not the group you belong to.

I know lots of people, like my mother, who does not have such ignorant behavior in them.

I actually have trouble verbalizing the N word and the C word even when they are needed in context. Like saying someone said it.


But yeah I have noticed the everyone does it thing esp in the right leaners.

Much love for you brother .. but you might be covering your own ass here. It seems to surprise you that everyone is not prone to respond with such behavior. I've been in MANY situations in my life where if I was going to attack someone racially, I sure in the hell would have .. but that's not my manner. and frankly wouldn't do my attack any justice. If pushed, I attack the individual who pushed me, not his race, not her gender, not their sexuality. I think there is something decidely cowardly about that.

Top called me a "nigga" and there wasn't one nanosecond in my mind that even remotely considered attacking him because he's white in response. Much better to call him, the individual out. Had I attacked him because he's whitre, I'd be no better than his gutter-trash ass. Seeing me on the same level as him is all the incentive I need to not to sink to his level.

Yeah, it’s a self-defense mechanism I guess. A way to tell yourself, it’s not my fault that I do that, everybody does it. And the giveaway is the dead-certain belief that you can project yourself into what goes on in someone else’s mind. It’s incredibly foolish.

Fair enough bro like I said I'm not trying to defend it just explain it.

I genuinely am not a prejudiced person. I have friends of every color and lifestyle, and consider myself among the more tolerant. But in a moment of anger, I too have made a mistake and said something like that. If it could happen to someone like me, it could happen to a lot of people. I don't think that's what happened here though.
